It's been a while

Well hello, long time no see. Sorry for the lack of blog updates, time seems to have run away from us, you haven't missed much really, it's been a little like Groundhog Day (the movie) here :

As you probably already know the feed wagon got stolen yet again but fortunately due to the power of social media and an anonymous tip-off  we got it back again.  Hoping we can hang onto it now that some extra security measures are in place.

We've had rock hard ground through lack of rain and deep mud due to excess rain, so nothing new there, seems weather wise we can't get a happy balance, these days it's all or nothing!

Of course the cost of forage went up again, bet you're all grateful we haven't been around here to moan about that again.

And then there's Eggsy's behaviour well nothing much changes there, one day he's good and one day he's bad. And when it comes to fencing, well we've never had such a destructive pony. He has completely destroyed one little paddock's fence posts, guessing he thought we might be tempted to put him in there by himself if he didn't stop fighting his brother!

We do have lots of thank you's to say to people who have been helping to fund Eggsy's care via donations. Thank you Philo, Graham, Philip, Candice, Sally, Archie, Carol, Diane, Jennifer, Laura, Elizabeth, Helen, Christine, Donna, Norfolk Bea and our anonymous friends, you've all been wonderful and we very much appreciate all of your help.

In other news Eggsy started writing a diary for ponyhour.com but ill health, human not equine, has put a temporary stop to that. Nothing serious just a cold / flu virus thingy but somewhat debilitating, we will get back to that again soon. Unfortunately, last week's torrential rain and subsequent soaking has resulted in another case of the sniffles. See what we mean Groundhog Day the movie!

About Eggsy:

Eggsy is a rescue pony he was abandoned and left to starve by his owners as a foal. His care is funded by donations.

You can read the story of his abandonment here: About Eggsy Pony

Would you like to help Eggsy?

Eggsy has a GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for his care, we'd be really grateful if you'd go take a look, share it far and wide via your social media and of course if you can spare some money please donate.
